Established in 2009, shortly after the launch of the Building Energy Rating (BER) program, the BER Assessors Association of Ireland (BERAA) supports and represents BER assessors nationwide. We advocate for professional standards, provide resources, and foster community growth, while giving voice to assessor issues.
As a voluntary organisation, BERAA promotes members' interests and holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to elect officers for the year. Members also benefit from networking opportunities and professional development support to enhance their careers.
As a BERAA member, you’ll be listed on our website, making it easy for potential clients to find a local BER assessor—offering increased visibility and opportunities to grow your client base. In addition, you’ll have access to our private Facebook group for peer discussions, and ourLinkedIn group for industry networking. We also offer regular CPD events tailored to meet your requirements, and a personalised member profile with useful resources and access to past training sessions, all in one convenient place.
Our mission is to advocate for BERAA members through ongoing dialogue with the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and other key stakeholders. We are committed to keeping members informed of legislative and work practice changes, providing necessary briefings and training as needs arise, ensuring our members stay updated and well-represented in the industry.
We keep members updated on legislative, regulatory, and work practice changes that affect the BER industry. Our commitment includes delivering timely and relevant briefings and training, ensuring members remain informed and proficient in their roles.
We act as a unified voice for BER assessors, ensuring their concerns and perspectives are heard in discussions with SEAI and other regulatory bodies, advocating for their best interests at every opportunity.
We promote best practices in the industry by encouraging continuous professional development and upholding high standards in assessment and reporting. This approach helps our members achieve and maintain accuracy and quality in their work.
At BERAA, we are dedicated to creating an open, supportive community where members share knowledge, resources, and experiences. We foster a network of professionals equipped to meet the evolving demands of the BER industry.
We invite all BER assessors to join our association and actively shape the future of energy assessment in Ireland. Together, we can strengthen our profession and tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
